Commercial vehicle brake pads convert the kinetic energy of the vehicle to thermal energy by friction. The ProVia brake pad portfolio covers the most commonly fitted air disc brakes in the market. Over 20 different pad kits, that also have optional accessories, ensure an optimal fit for all major applications.
Coupling heads enable the pneumatic connection between a truck and trailer. It connects two separate lines of supply and control, to prevent incorrect coupling.
Coiled tubes are applied to pneumatic braking systems to provide a flexible connection between the towing vehicle and semi-trailer.
Relay valves rapidly increase or decrease the pressure of compressed air and shorten the response and pressure build-up times in air braking systems. Relay valves not only help to rapidly pressurize the brake cylinders, but also act as quick-release valves when the brakes are released.
Inside the pneumatic system, the air dryer cartridge is an important, safety-relevant component. Installed between the compressor and reservoirs a cartridge is the first line of defense protecting a vehicle’s air system.
Pressure limiting valves help ensure system pressures are kept below a desired upper limit and maintain a set pressure in relevant parts of the circuit. Most pneumatic systems are designed to operate within a preset pressure range. Without controlling or limiting these forces, power components (and expensive equipment) could be damaged.
The valves prevent the buildup of excessive pressure or vacuum which can unbalance the system. They are the safeguards which limit maximum pressure in a system by releasing it when it gets too high.
A wheel speed sensor (WSS) is a device designed to read the speed of a vehicle's wheel rotation. The system also monitors the proper functioning of a range of features, including brake performance, ensuring vehicle safety.
ProVia wheel speed sensors are contactless and use alternating voltage outputs to correspond to the actual wheel speed rotation, passing the information to the vehicle’s electronics system.
